Richard Hilling profile image

Richard Hilling ACA, FCCA

Director – Accounts and Finance

Richard has worked in the field of specialist medical accountancy since 1995, and was one of the founder members of the firm when it was established in 2004.

On a day-to-day basis Richard deals with all aspects of business advice and support including management accounting, acquisition, sales and planning work. He’s also involved in the preparation and delivery of accounts, and the financial control and management of the business.

Perhaps unsurprisingly for an accountant, Richard enjoys working with numbers. He cites his favourite aspects of the job as using complex spreadsheets, and learning and implementing new software packages in an ever changing IT world. Recently Richard has led our transition towards online based accounting.

Tim Wells


Tim has amassed well over 25 years’ accountancy experience, including 22 years working almost exclusively with doctors and dentists. He has been with us since the firm was founded in 2004.

Tim’s daily tasks are extensive, but he particularly enjoys building a rapport with his clients. Typically his role includes the preparation of accounts from complete and incomplete records, preparing projected accounts, and compiling VAT returns. He also enjoys advising on bookkeeping and accounting systems. Tim also takes the lead on PAYE matters.

Steve Dean ATT, STEP

Director – Tax & Marketing

Steve is the self-confessed ‘new boy’ to the field of specialist medical accounting, although he has been with the company since 2008! Prior to joining us Steve had accumulated over 26 years’ tax experience from his time at Deloitte and Lester Aldridge Solicitors in Bournemouth.

Steve holds overall responsibility for the tax affairs of Personal and Corporate clients, and markets the company’s services to new clients. He is also involved in managing the tax impact on clients arising from the recent changes to the NHS Pension Scheme.

Steve’s favourite part of his job is finding solutions to any problems that occur, and he particularly enjoys successfully reducing clients’ tax bills.
